The ACU are pleased to confirm that the arrangements for the Farleigh Castle venue will remain with the current Manager, Bill Douglas, after rumours that a new “agent” would be taking over.
The news also means that the ACU will be holding high profile events at the Somerset venue in the next few years, with the return of a Maxxis Motocross event scheduled for July or August 2013. After a week of dialogue it has been confirmed that the ACU will also be involved in a high profile event in September next year, whereby details will be confirmed shortly.
ACU Chairman, Brian Higgins explained, “We are delighted that Bill Douglas will continue in his current role as we feel that his knowledge of the land, local area and a deep understanding of Motocross going back to the Grand Prix days is vital.
