Moto cross debut for Side X Side

A new form of moto cross made its UK debut on sunday with the increasingly popular Side X Side UTVs racing with the NORA-MX Quad club. Ten of the two-seater vehicles, which have evolved from utility ATVs, lined up at Culham to provide three highly enjoyable demo races, and a few amusing roll overs!

A second demo outing is now planned at Wroxton, Oxon on September 25 with the aim of providing a full championship alongside the club's youth and adult quad classes next season, if there is enough interest.

All abilities are welcome to have try out at Wroxton. The entry fee is just £150, which includes two ACU licences (for a driver and passenger), transponder hire, club membership and entry for practice and three races.

All details and entry forms can be found on the club's website (www.nora-mx.org.uk) or call Chris Murphy on 07860 668434.

Side X Side were developed for recreational use, but racing them is becoming big business in the USA, with over 75 running in the prestigious WORCS cross country series alongside the quads so far this year.
