British Sidecar Championship heads to Canada Heights

This weekend the penultimate round of the 2011 Maxxis British sidecarcross championship will take place at the superb Canada Heights circuit near Swanley in Kent and will be hosted by the Sidcup club.

After four rounds (The round at Condover was cancelled) defending champion Stuart Brown and his passenger Josh Chamberlain lead the championship by just ten points from Daniel and Joe Millard. To date Brown / Chamberlain have beaten all the regular contestants until the last round at Langrish when the Millards turned the tables and beat them and in so doing virtually cut their lead in half.
Lying in third place are Jack Etheridge from nearby Maidstone and his passenger Ryan Humphrey. This is their first full year in the championship and they have shown great potential. They lead the vastly experienced Scott Wilkinson by just ten points.

In fifth place is the only right handed outfit in the championship piloted by Andy and Tim Breacher.
Lastly this meeting will see the first appearance of the Irish crew, Neil Campbell / Ross Graham who have entered as a wild card

In addition to the three sidecar races there will be solo races incorporating the final round of the Expert and Junior SE centre championships.

The club have organised a bar and disco for Saturday night and on Sunday practice starts at 09.00 hrs with the first race due to start at approx 10.30hrs. Admission for adults is £7 with a free programme. The circuit will be signposted from junction 3 on the M25 (the A20 turning) and for those with satnav the nearest postcode is BR* 8DX.
