Isle of Man TT Races 2011

TAS Suzuki has announced a second rider to join Guy Martin in its TT campaign.  World Endurance star Guillame Deitrich will be jumping in at the deep end by making his TT debut with one of the most established teams in road racing.  The German born Frenchman comes with very high credentials having won the Le Mans 24 hour race  in 2007 and 2008.

Probably the saddest thing about this year's TT will be that Ian 'Hutchy' Hutchinson will not be competing this year due to the injuries he sustained at Silverstone last September.  Hutchy has gone to super human endeavours to try and be fit for this year's event, but it was just not to be.  Hutchinson created history last year by winning all five solo races, which had never been done before, it took exactly 6 hours, 31 minutes and 56.36 seconds for Hutchy to transform himself from TT winner into a true TT legend.

Other riders to watch out for this year will be Michael Dunlop on his Paul Bird World Superbike spec Kawasaki ZX-10R, Ryan Farquahar riding for Team KMR Kawasaki, Guy Martin, swapping his long boat for a motorbike and racing for his new team Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing.  Island Racer Conor Cummins who has recovered from a horrific accident in last year's Senior Race is determined to make amends aboard his McAdoo Kawasaki, Michael Rutter (Riders Ducati) - after several attempts Rutter is hoping a Ducati can bring him success on the Mountain Course.  Cameron Donald switches from Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing to Wilson Craig Racing and Bruce Anstey riding this year for Padgetts Racing.

A truly great fortnight of action is lined up and you can see it all on ITV 4 starting on Monday 30th May at 9.00pm with a programme on 'Hutchy's year'.  Coverage begins proper on Thursday 2nd June nightly at 9.00pm with a one hour highlights programme.

Don't miss it - the TT comes round once a year...................................
