2008 events at Scarborough will not include the international Bike Week Festival. After 11 years the Auto 66 Club has made a decision to rest the event until 2010 allowing them time to work on circuit development and its grass root events.

All the Bike Week events will still be run but will be split up throughout thesummer season.

The Oliver's Mount Scarborough season starts with the Ian
Watson Spring National two weeks earlier than normal on 20th April this means the event is the first "Real Road Race" of the season starting one week before the Irish season gets underway. The traditional May Bank

Holiday week end has now been extended to a three day motorcycle and car Speed Hill Climb which still carries the Scarborough Festival of Speed title and will include a car and bike show as well as other attractions.

June 21st & 22nd sees the second year of the Barry Sheene Classic Road Race Festival at Oliver's Mount, the event includes rounds of the Lansdowne Trophy Series and will include classes for 250cc, 350cc, 500cc, 750cc, formula 350 and Classic Sidecars, this weekend promises to be a real bumper event with lots of star riders in the parades and on hand to sign autographs.

The annual Cock O' the North Road Races move on a week to 12th & 13th July, this event is one of the highlights of the year with lots of TT riders having time to take breath after the Isle of Man. Already entries are in from Guy Martin, Ian Lougher, and Chris Palmer. The meeting itself caters for all modern classes, 125GP, 250GP, 400, Supermono, Minitwins, 600, and Superbikes plus the ever popular F2 Sidecars
.
Oliver's Mount comes alight again with a motorcycle and car Speed Hill Climb on Sunday 17th August. Rounding off the "Real Road Race" season will be the Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup Road Races which will be the 58th annual running of this prestigious event, already the Auto 66 Club organisers of the meeting are talking with top teams and riders to secure a star studded entry.

Members of the Auto 66 Club have a busy season ahead with a twelve round Clubman's Challenge Star Road Race Championship series. The club is well known for running a low level Clubman's Series as a starting ground for new riders, over the years the club have produced top class riders such as Phil Mellor, John McGuiness, Jamie Whitham, Tony & Nick Jefferies, DJ , Jim
Moody, Barry Brindley and Steve Webster to name but a few.

In the next few days the club have a new web page going on line which will give all information and directions on circuits and how to find them.
