Graham Jarvis extended his lead over Steve Colley in the Colin Appleyard A.C.U. 2006 British Trials Championship on Sunday in
Round Six of the National Trials Championship series at Kinlochleven.
With just one event to run, the Bradford Motor Club event at Skyrakes, Skipton, the Pateley Bridge domiciled Canterbury rider has clinched title. Isle of Man International star Steve Colley cannot bridge the points gap, even if he wins at Bradford.
Scottish Trials Champion Gary MacDonald was sixth in the event after loosing fifth place on a tiebreak decider. Gary headed the home challenge in the Championship class on his MRS Sherco Devon's Joe Baker took the Expert class. Just four Championship points separate Baker, Sam Haslam and former leader Dan Thorpe.
Scottish riders Gavin Johnston was 19th, Gary Kennedy retired, William Gillespie was 17th , Sean Mackay took 18th, Donald MacPhie 20th , Darren MacCrae 21st. All the Scottish competitors enjoyed plenty of local support. Isle of Man youth Nigel Crellin ran away with the class.
