Jim Webb, General Secretary and the driving force behind the Frome MCC has been taken ill. It is when it loses a man of Jim’s stature that a club realises just how much work he put in, both as secretary and in preparing the track. Equally, due to Jim’s illness, his wife and staunch club supporter Vera, has more important things to do than worry about motorcycle racing.
For this season at least the running of the club and its race meetings will be undertaken by a committee, all of them volunteers, and all of them with a steep learning curve.
There will be two meetings at the Asham Woods, Leighton track in 2014:
- Monday April 21st – ACU MAXXIS British Sidecarcross Championship
- Sunday September 14 – ACU British Clubman’s Sidecarcross Championship
It would be appreciated if Vera was not bothered with questions regarding the club or its meetings. All correspondence should be addressed to the current General Secretary:
