Dan Mundell secured a fourth consecutive FIM Europe E2 Enduro Championship on Sunday (1 November) after completing another dominant season with a double victory at the final round in Woltersdorf, Germany.
The Briton won seven of the eight championship days across the four-round series in Hungary, Italy, Spain and Germany, finishing the season on 151 points – 27 clear of Sweden’s Franz Löfquist, with Poland’s Maciej WiÄ™ckowski third.
Riding for TNT Corse KTM by P.A.R Homes, Mundell sealed the title on the opening day in Germany before adding another E2 victory on Sunday to complete a memorable weekend.
“This weekend in Germany was probably the highlight,” Mundell said. “It’s where I won my first European Championship as well, so it was nice to take number four there as well.”
Racing in Europe proved to be a welcome distraction from a challenging season of domestic EnduroGB competition for Mundell.
“The year ended up being better than I thought,” Mundell explained. “I haven’t really been on the bike much this year and I’ve had a bit of a difficult year in the UK.
“The European rounds always felt like a bit of a break each time I went. It was refreshing and it all turned out as good as I could have hoped.”
With four straight European titles on his riding record, Mundell is now considering a change of direction for 2027.
“I don’t know if I’ll do the European series again next year,” he added. “I really enjoy the championship and I can always come back to it, but I’m also tempted to try something new and switch things up a little bit.”
