97 riders take on Scotland as the ACU National Rallies series makes a successful comeback
The Scottish National Road Rally (SNRR) was successfully held over the weekend of
12th and 13th September, marking the third event in the ACU National Rallies series and a highly successful return of the rally series under its new committee.
The event attracted
97 riders from across the UK, with competitors travelling from far and wide to take part. Some riders even made the journey from as far afield as the
Isle of Wight, highlighting the enduring appeal of the Scottish National Road Rally and the enthusiasm of the UK’s motorcycle rally community.
Riders were challenged to put their navigation, endurance and riding skills to the test across Scotland, with
37 competitors achieving the coveted Weekend Platinum award.
The honours also extended to the team competition, with
The Three Erks, comprising
Duncan Bishop, Brian Mercer and Paul Roberts, taking the top team award after successfully achieving
Weekend Gold.
The success of this year’s event represents an exciting new chapter for the ACU National Rallies series and demonstrates the enthusiasm within the rally community for its return.
Planning is already underway for next year, with the
2027 Scottish National Road Rally confirmed for the weekend of 11th and 12th September 2027.
