British club riders produced a series of strong performances at the recent FIM 6DAYS Enduro in Portugal (12-17 October), with victory for the Rogershill Women’s Team and three British squads finishing inside the top 13 of the main Club Team Award.
Great Britain fielded 14 club teams at Grândola in Portugal, including 13 in the main Club Team Award and one in the Women’s Club Team Award. The entry was the largest of any national federation, with riders representing clubs and organisations from across England, Wales, Scotland and the Isle of Man.
Conditions made the 2026 event a serious test of both rider and machine. Dust and poor visibility affected the programme throughout the week, while long days, high temperatures and demanding terrain added to the challenge.
Rogershill takes Women’s honours
Rogershill Women’s Team (pictured) delivered the standout British club result by taking victory in the MOTOREX Women’s Club Team Award.
Elliot-Hall led the British effort and also secured first place in the Women’s Club individual classification. It was her third consecutive 6DAYS finish and came after another demanding week of riding in Portugal.
EnduroGB rider Chrissie Harcourt also completed the event on her first 6DAYS appearance. The two British riders were joined by Canadian Katie McGeachy, who was paired with Rogershill through the FIM. McGeachy recovered from timing out on the opening day to restart and complete the remainder of the event.
Reflecting on her 2026 6DAYS experience, Emily said: “I am very proud to have been a part of the 2026 Rogershill Women's ISDE club team. We faced challenges getting a full team, but were successful with first-time ISDE riders Chrissie Harcourt from Wales and Katie McGeachy from Canada.
“It was an extremely tough event to finish and they both rode amazingly! This was my third ISDE finish and to stand on the podium as a Club and individual winner after a knee injury this year was beyond words. Thank you massively to all those that helped me and the team succeed.”
SACU Juniors lead British Club Team Award challenge
The highest-placed British team in the main Club Team Award was SACU Junior. Kevin Murray (pictured), Richard Mair and Connor Paton all reached the finish as the Scottish combination secured an impressive seventh place overall.
Dyfed Dirt Bike Club A was next among the British entries. Dew Alun Jones, Bradley Price (pictured) and Josh Joynson completed the six days in 10th place.
Braintree Motorcycle Club also produced a strong performance. Luke Parker (pictured), William Hughes and Jake Roper combined to finish 13th overall against a large international field.
Dyfed Dirt Bike Club B gave the Welsh club a second team inside the top 25. Louis Lloyd-Woodrow, Harry Best and Ryan Jones reached the finish in 25th position.
The second Scottish squad, SACU Senior, comprised Robert Graham, Andrew Watt and John Weir. All three completed the event as the team finished 44th, meaning all six SACU riders entered in Portugal reached the end of the six-day contest.
British teams battle through demanding week
West Devon MCC was the next ACU team in the classification. Simon Thomas, Andy Elliott and Matt Yates combined to finish 64th after six days of demanding competition.
Cymru Wales A had been among the leading teams during the opening stages. Alex Walton (pictured), Harry Houghton and Kris Price ended Day One fourth in the Club Team Award and retained that position after Day Two before encountering trouble later in the week. They eventually finished 68th.
Nathan Baggott, Joe Sullivan and Charlie Higham represented the Army Enduro Team and reached the finish in 70th place.
Richard Thrower, Michael Burgess and Elliot Davies carried the North Camp Enduro Motorcycle Club colours to 71st position.
Rogershill was also represented in the main Club Team Award. Andrew Frost secured the leading result for the men’s team, while Daniel Hall continued to improve as the event progressed. Wayne Player’s challenge ended following a crash in the difficult visibility conditions, although he remained with the team to support his fellow riders as Rogershill finished 72nd.
The sister Cymru Wales B squad of Ryan Rowlands, Rhydian Rees and Rhys Evans completed the classification in 73rd place.
Outgoing EnduroGB series manager and Dakar Rally regular Neil Hawker joined Gary Potts and Roger Baker in the Enduro4One line-up, which finished 74th overall.
Gary Flowers, Mike Turner and Orry Millward carried the Southern MCC Isle of Man challenge. The trio had reached 36th position overall by the end of Day Four, but their challenge came to an end on Day Five and the team was not classified as a finisher.
Independent British riders reach the finish
Independent entrant Lyndon Poskitt also completed the 6DAYS aboard his Husqvarna. The experienced adventure and rally rider finished 81st overall and was joined by fellow Brit Alex Lamble in a mixed independent team that came home 46th.
Club effort underlines British Enduro strength
For the ACU clubs and riders involved, completing the FIM 6DAYS represents an international achievement in its own right and provides a timely reminder of the strength of ACU’s British club Enduro scene ahead of the FIM 6DAYS returning to Great Britain in 2027, when Wales will host the event for the first time in 44 years.
