The Auto-Cycle Union can confirm that Britain’s round of the FIM TrialGP Championship will move to Geddington in Northamptonshire for 2027 and 2028, replacing Anglesey which hosted this season’s event.
The island’s Trac Mon racing circuit welcomed the world’s best riders in July with the same planned for 2027. Organised by ML Events, the event ran alongside the inaugural Moto Fest show.
A change in circumstances means that TrialGP and Moto Fest will not run alongside each other next year, with the motorcycle festival now continuing without the world championship competition element.
Britain’s TrialGP round will therefore return to Geddington, which last hosted an FIM event in 2025. The fixture will take place on 27-29 August 2027.
Jake Miller from ML Events said: “Organising the TrialGP event at Anglesey as a separate competition was never part of our original plans. However, Moto Fest will now become a standalone event from 2027 onwards.
“We have always been and remain committed to ensuring that Great Britain hosts a round of the TrialGP series. Thanks to the valued cooperation of the ACU, the FIM and CL Events, we have now agreed on a solution that will provide long-term stability for the British round.
“We wish all parties every success with TrialGP Great Britain in the years ahead.”
Cockshott, who will deliver the two TrialGP events at Geddington with CL Events partner Jack Lee, said: “When the ACU asked if we could run the TrialGP event again, Jack and I jumped at the chance.
"We came away from the event we delivered in 2025 feeling very positive, so we’re looking forward to building on that in 2027 and 2028.
“We learned a lot from organising our first TrialGP event at Geddington. We now want to use that experience to make the next two events even stronger.”
Tim Lightfoot, ACU president, said: “It’s unfortunate that the circumstances around the 2027 event have changed because Anglesey provided a unique backdrop for a TrialGP round.
"We’re pleased that CL Events have agreed to deliver the fixture in 2027 and 2028. Geddington is a fantastic venue and we saw what was possible there in 2025.
“The ACU is grateful to everyone involved for working together to secure the future of Britain’s FIM TrialGP round. We can now look ahead with confidence and the ACU is looking forward to hosting its next two events at Geddington.”
