Mallory Park brought this year’s season to a close with the ACU National Championship and the Club Championships going down to the last days racing to decide the winners.
The ACU National Championship sponsored by “Titan Beds” & “Moto12Twelve” saw championship leader Jack Long head into the final race with a 20-point lead over Ant Hart. Long had to ride the DD Racings spare bike as his number 1 bike had engine issues in the previous Club Championship race. This meant Long had to ride with his head to secure the championship which he duly did. Making it a back-to-back ACU National Championship win. Hart did what he had to do and put it on the top step, but the points deficit was too great and he had to settle for 2
nd place in the championship. Joe Woodward rode a valiant race to stay with Hart pushing him all the way. Woodward finishing 2
nd place in the race and securing 3
rd place overall to round out the 2026 ACU National Championship. Congratulations to all.
The EVO club championship also saw Ant Hart and Jack Long arrive at Mallory with all to play for. Long had an 8 point lead over Hart. A classic situation where one rider is needing to beat the other. Hart took first blood winning race 1. An absolute cracking race with Hart and Long locked together for the entire race. Hart took the chequered flag by 0.1 seconds. 3rd place battle was between Richard Molnar & Joe Woodward which was just as close as the front two. Molnar just squeezing Woodward into 4
th by another 0.1 seconds.
Race 2 was setting up to be a proper no hold barred race. Lights out and Hart takes the lead, but by lap 2 Long pushes pass Hart. Like race 1 nothing could separate them. This time Long managed to keep Hart at bay and secure a much needed victory which saw Long regain his 8 point advantage over Hart. 3
rd place battle looked like it was going to be another Molnar Woodward affair but an early flat out departure for Molnar into Gerrards left Woodward in a comfortable 3
rd place.
Sunday arrives and Hart is left in a must win both races situation and at least 1 win for Long. The stage was set for an epic battle. The nerves and excitement must have been off the scale for both Long’s “DD racing Team” and Hart’s “Jeff Miller Motorsport Tigcraft”. Lights out a group of seven riders line astern around the first lap with nothing between them. This was looking to be a hotly contested race. But then disaster struck for Long and the DD Racing Team. A gutting engine failure and oil on the rear tyre saw Long crash out into Edwinas. Thankfully Long was unhurt unlike his championship chances. Hart did the business securing the victory but Long’s teammate Woodward rode a fantastic race trying to beat Hart and reduce the points deficit between them. Again another 0.1 second over the line between Hart and Woodward. 3
rd place this time was secured by Adam Carson who found some good pace over the weekend.
The final race was upon us and with Hart’s 17 points advantage meant Long needed a win and Hart a disaster race. Unfortunately for Long his number 1 bike was out of action from the previous race so aboard his spare bike he had a mountain to climb. Hart rode a championship winning race just doing enough to finish in front of Long to secure the championship. Congratulations to Ant Hart on the EVO Championship win. That left Joe Woodward, Mark Evans & Adam Carson to battle it out for the podium positions. Woodward took an early lead closely followed by Evans & Carson. The whole race and you couldn’t separate them. The order stayed the same finishing over the line with 0.5 seconds, covering the top three. 1

nd Evans & 3
rd Carson. A fantastic end to the Evo Championship.
The Clubman Championship saw championship leader Mark Fairweather head into the final round with a healthy 73 point lead over Doug Low. A good finish in the first race would seal the deal. Doug Low needing to win all 4 races and a disaster for Fairweather would be the only way to change the course of the championship.
A returning Neil Bagley took all 4 wins over the weekend but a 2
nd place in the first race for Fairweather meant the championship was his. Congratulations to Mark Fairweather for an excellent season. Doug Low did enough to maintain his 2
nd place in the championship and rookie Ian Higton brought it home for a championship 3
rd place. Higton also laid claim to the Novice trophy. This years coveted “Team Challenge” Championship was won by “Team SBS Racing” consisting of Brian Stroud & Dan Ledger. Congratulations to you all.

th year anniversary. The race calendar looks great, having our first trip to Knockhill, and a trip to the ” Cathedral of Speed” at Assen is being worked on to celebrate our anniversary. So watch this space.
