Farleigh LEGEND Mike Brown flying to FCVMX to see fans

We don't use the word legend very often, but Mike Brown is the exception. He is the original legend of this event; anyone who saw "Brownie" on full gas at the Farleigh circuit at past events will attest to the spectacle of one of the world's most accomplished racers who can really ride the wheels off these Evo 2-strokes; there's no other racer quite like him.

Last year Brownie unfortunately suffered a neck injury whilst out training the current crop of factory Triumph racers in his day job stateside, and it was pretty serious; in fact, had he not been one of the fittest people we know, things could have worked out much worse for him. The good news is Mike isn't only back on his feet, he is back on a bike and is keen to travel to Farleigh to see his fans, put some time in the commentary booth with Roger Warren and Jeff Perrett and best off-he's going to do some parade laps on one of the DocWob built YZ 250's, his first time back on an evo bike and the first time outside the states! He has promised he will be back in 2027 to captain Team America, and we, for one, don’t ever doubt him.

Having been established since 2009, the event is heading into its 17th consecutive year, this year being the third under the all-new management, which has seen entries and spectators, and most importantly, the track preparation step up a gear to get back to its position as the premier event at the historic and iconic GP track, which takes place on September 10-13.

Gates open at midday on Thursday, September 10 to allow early access, ahead of a chilled Friday with a track walk and scrutineering before the races start on Saturday.

With two days of racing with the biggest names in the UK (more news on that to come) on era-correct machines that make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end, and not to forget the ever-popular main event-the Farleigh Vets MX team race, which traditionally has given us the bar-to-bar action we can shake a stick at.

The weather forecast is looking favourable also!

Please disregard any fake news that the venue cannot be used due to water shortages; that is definitely not the case, and we are 100% running, rain or shine.
