British riders dominate 2026 FIM Flat Track World Championship title race

Britain’s Tim Neave, Ashton Boughen and Jack Bell hold the first three places in the 2026 FIM Flat Track World Championship heading into round eight at Pardubice in the Czech Republic this Saturday (3 October). British riders have won every round since the season opened in the Netherlands in May, turning the championship into a three-way domestic battle for the world crown.

·        Tim Neave takes a thirteen-point lead over fellow Britons Ashton Boughen and Jack Bell into round eight

·        British riders have won all seven rounds staged so far in 2026

·        Teenager Tom Hunt arrives in Pardubice after back-to-back podium finishes

The British title fight is led by Tim Neave (VRX Power Maxed Dirt Store Ducati), who takes one-hundred-and-forty-seven points and a thirteen-point advantage into the final European round. Team-mate Ashton Boughen and Jack Bell (Triumph) are tied immediately behind him, leaving all three firmly in contention with a maximum of twenty-six points available at each round.

Neave’s consistency has given him the edge. The former British Superbike Championship racer, who made his Flat Track World Championship debut in 2023, has claimed five podiums this season, including back-to-back victories in Germany and Croatia. At thirty-one, he is in pole position to strike FIM gold.

Boughen has matched Neave’s pace with wins in the Netherlands, Italy and, most recently, Hungary. Bell has added victories in Germany and Great Britain, ensuring that the Union flag has been represented on the top step at all seven rounds staged so far. With Boughen and Bell level on points, the contest for the championship is also a direct fight to become Neave’s closest challenger.

Pardubice is the trio’s final European opportunity to establish an advantage before the championship leaves the continent for the first time in its sixteen-year history and travels to Argentina for a concluding double-header at the end of October.

Behind the three title contenders, Tom Hunt (Beta – OMT Squadra Corse Italiana) adds further depth to the British challenge. The teenager is ninth in the standings and out of medal contention, but has emerged as one of the season’s most promising newcomers, taking podium finishes in each of the previous two rounds during his first full campaign.

The British riders will still have to contain experienced opposition in Pardubice. Former champion Gerard Bailo (Zaeta) and defending two-time champion Ervin Krajčovič (KTM Schruf – Zucco Racing) are tied for fourth on one-hundred-and-seventeen points and remain in medal contention. Krajčovič, racing on home ground, overturned a points deficit at Speedway Stadium Pardubice to secure his 2025 crown, while Bailo has returned to form with three podium finishes in 2026.

Czech rider Ondřej Svědík is sixth on one-hundred points, with Italy’s Daniele Tonelli (TM – Donelli’s Garage) and Ukraine’s Stanislav Ohorodnik (Husqvarna) tied for seventh ahead of Hunt. Their presence adds pressure, but the central story remains the British riders’ grip on the championship and their opportunity to carry that advantage into the Argentine finale.

Racing at Pardubice will begin with the opening Heat scheduled for 14:00 local time.
