The Auto-Cycle Union's home round of the 2026 FIM EnduroGP World Championship takes centre stage in Mid Wales this weekend (6-9 August), with Britain's Steve Holcombe aiming to secure the Enduro3 world title as the championship reaches its conclusion.
Based in Mid-Wales and expertly organised by Rhayader Motor Club, EnduroGP of Wales brings the curtain down on a memorable 2026 world championship campaign and gives Britain an opportunity to showcase its rich Enduro heritage and the strengths of the ACU’s clubs.

EnduroGP of Wales starts with Thursday evening's opening ceremony in Rhayader town centre before Friday's Akrapovič SuperTest gives fans an early glimpse of the action. Competition then moves into the forests and hills surrounding Rhayader for two full days of racing, with riders tackling a series of demanding special tests at Cwmythig Hill and Saintswell Enduro Centre.
Leading the home challenge is multiple world champion Steve Holcombe who arrives in Wales at the top of the Enduro3 standings after an outstanding second half of the season.
The Sherco Factory Racing rider has won every completed E3 race day since Portugal to move into the championship lead. He sits six points ahead of fellow Brit and Beta Factory Team rider Brad Freeman.
Competing on familiar terrain is something Steve believes can work in his favour. He said: “It's nice to have a home GP and it definitely takes the pressure off a little bit because it's very familiar up there in Wales for me. I've had a good couple of days' rest, some good training in similar terrain and I'm feeling really confident.”
While capable of challenging for outright EnduroGP victories, the Devonian’s priority is securing the E3 title and adding a 10th world championship to his record.“
The world title is always the main goal for this season,” he explained. “But given I’ve had a couple of technical problems in Spain and Portugal, I'm pretty amazed to be leading the E3 championship going into the last round after missing two complete days of points. Now my focus is on getting the job done in the class.”
Another British rider with plenty to race for is Elizabeth Tett (pictured above). She heads into the weekend aiming to move up a place and secure second place in the final FIM Junior Women Enduro World Championship standings.
The 22-year-old Electraction TM Moto rider has balanced her domestic and international campaigns with work and arrives in Wales encouraged by a strong performance at the previous round in Portugal where she claimed maximum points.
Familiarity with the Welsh terrain gives her confidence ahead of the series finale.“I really want to enjoy the event and do the best I can to get second place in the championship,” she pointed out.
“I'm familiar with the area and the terrain, and come into the event fresh from the EnduroGB round at Brechfa. Hopefully that will help. The harder and more technical the event is, the better it tends to suit me.”
A strong British contingent will be joining Steve and Elizabeth on the entry list in Rhayader, including home-grown wildcards Jonny Walker (Triumph Racing Factory) and Billy Bolt (Husqvarna Factory Racing).
Both men currently occupy the top two places in the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship and their appearance at EnduroGP Wales gives fans the opportunity to see them race in a different discipline – and potentially mix up the results.
Elsewhere, Aaron Gordan (Yamaha) is in the E1 class, while Nathan Watson (Beta Factory Team) will compete in E2.
Eager to impress in the E3 class are Charlie Chater (Sherco), British Elite Championship leader Jed Etchells (Moto Fit Racing), and Alex Walton (TM Moto).
Elite Women British Championship leader Nieve Holmes (Sherco) and Rosie Rowett (Rieju Factory Team) will be hoping for strong results in the Women's Enduro class. Rosie is currently second in the points, seven points ahead of Nieve.
Fraiser Lampkin (Beta), Charlie Crossland (GASGAS), Rees Jones (KTM), Josh Lawer (KTM), and Rees Jones (Husqvarna) will do battle in Enduro Youth, while Callum Hughes (Beta), Roan Delaney (Motofit Racing) and Will Barnett (KTM) will represent the ACU in Junior 1.
The Junior 2 class features Jack Keenan (Triumph), Sion Evans (TM Moto), Sam Hughes (KTM), Jacob Potts (TM Moto) and Burts Crayston (KTM).
Ross Danby (Beta), Jordan Scott (TM Moto), Owain Humphreys (TM Moto), Richard Ely (Triumph), Niels Reid (Honda), Ben Thomson (Sherco), Will Keenan (GASGAS), Tristan Young (Triumph) and David Knight (Ducati) will represent the ACU in the Open class.
