Ronnie Mac is a well-known character in the sport, and when he expressed interest in coming to the premier vets event in the world, there was only one stipulation - there's no just goon riding; he would be here to race. Trust us, he is a very accomplished racer in his own right and is super keen to line up in the International Team Race. Of course, he will be on hand to entertain the crowds all weekend, but when he lines up its deadly serious; he is most certainly not a weak link in any team lineup. With Honda guru Steve Denton supplying an immaculately prepped CR 250, there's nothing goofy about the speed he goes; just watch.
Second on the squad is New England racer Keith Johnson. Famous as a journeyman racer, he has been a pro in the States since he burst on the scene in the early '90s, having been one of the pioneering factory KTM guys stateside; he is now the promoter of the Southwick round of the AMA nationals. He's race fit AF and ready to take on the sand at Hawkstone, and he is one of the faster Americans on the soft stuff!
The newly appointed third rider is none other than multiple South African champion, former British Championship and GP racer Ryan Hunt. He is still a very active racer in his own right, and though many remember him from his Honda UK days and British Championship (and not to forget consecutive three-time Weston beach race winner, he's pretty good on the soft stuff.) Hunt is flying in for the event and has secured a mint 2001 CR 250 to ride and even has the services of ace spanner man Julian Dobb for the weekend; he's not messing about!
With a month to go before the highlight of the British motocross calendar, the VMXdN held this year at the most iconic and historic of all British MX tracks, Hawkstone Park, the announcements for the 2026 event continue to come thick and fast.

Take full advantage of it being a bank holiday weekend, as the weekend starts when the gates open at 12 noon on Thursday, August 27th. With the annual Show'N'Shine display on Friday alongside sign on and scrutineering, organised or impromptu autograph signing from the many legends of the sport in attendance, not to forget the trade village alongside industry displays, food court and legendary beer tent complete with celebrity DJ on hand all weekend, it’s a bit of an assault on the senses, but be sure there is plenty to keep you entertained before the two days of packed racing action commences on Saturday, August 29th.
VMXdN is the event that legends past and present from around the Globe will take to the line to go bar to bar just like the golden era of 90’s motocross.
