The British riders were in hot form in the sweltering conditions in Italy last weekend and are showing some of their best performances at the critical point in the season, most importantly ahead of their home event – TrialGP Anglesey that will take place from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 July at the stunning Trac Mon Circuit Anglesey.
Harry Turner was the big winner in Italy taking three wins from four over the two days of competition to move up to fourth in the Trial2 general standings. The remaining win was picked up by George Hemingway, who showed a better run of form over the weekend to edge into third spot in the overall points table, with both George and Harry having a real chance of taking over the title lead if they can make the most of the home support at Anglesey next month. Billy Green remains a contender too, currently sixth in the standings having also been on the podium in Italy.
In Trial3 it is a similar story for home rider Harison Skelton, another solid performance in Italy and a place on the podium has put him in second position in the series standings, and what better place to take the championship lead than on home soil, which he will desperately be looking to do when the title race arrives in the UK in late July.
Both Alice Minta and Kaytlyn Adshead continue to pile on the pressure in the TrialGP Women class, the British duo both made it on to the podium in Italy and remain amongst the front runners in the championship and share the same burning desire to taste victory in front of their home fans. Having taken two wins in Italy, Matilda Arbon will be looking to do the same at Anglesey and in doing so hopefully also take the lead in the Trial2 Women championship standings.
Jack Peace and Harry Hemingway will again look to make their mark in the ultra-tough TrialGP class and like the other British contenders will really benefit from the support of a noisy home crowd.
