Darley Moor hosted the 1st round of the ACU Ultra Lightweight Championship last Sunday. The ACU Ultra Lightweights had the honour of kicking off the Darley Moor 2026 season being the first class to race.
David DeGroot sponsored by RLT and Jim Dalton Racing dominated the days events with two start to finish victories. Finishing 14secs ahead of Shane Norval who led his class in race 1 and setting a new lap record of 1:14.9 seconds in the windy but dry conditions on his YZ85 engined machine. Husband and Wife team Jez and Wag Scott battled to come in behind Ollie Pearson in the Streetstocks, with Jez Scott getting the upper hand over Wag
Race two:- In patchy track conditions shortly after a rain storm, Degroot was able to ease the back on the pace to finish safely over 3 seconds ahead of Dave McGlone and take his second win of the day and place himself 14pts ahead after the 1st round of the 2026 ACU championship.
Shane Norval again finished third with Ollie Pearson and David Wales coming in ahead of a real family tussle between Jez and Wag Scott, this time Wag took the family honours from her Husband
Next Round is at Pembrey on the 2nd and 3rd of May
