ACU Championships Round 3.

Top Fuel Bike.

After missing the Main Event. Reigning ACU Top Fuel Bike Champion Steve Woollatt is back for this event and is five points ahead of Neil Midgley who won the Springspeed Nationals. Rene Van Den Berg is back on top form and won the opening round of the European FIM Championship here at Santa Pod.  Al Smith had a few issues at the Main Event and will be hoping for a better outing at the Summernationals.

Funny Bike.

Louis Davies ran in the six-second zone at the Main Event and with two runner up finishes in the first two rounds of the ACU Funny Bike Championship, he will be the man to beat at the Summernationals.  Springspeed Nationals winner Dave Peters found some form, running back to back 7.3secs. Roger Moore is steadily getting more comfortable with the bike and has more performance to come from the bike. There are two riders from Europe. Eric Richard who has run in the sixes and 2012 ACU Funny Bike Champion Maarten Zijlstra.

Comp Bike.

Shawn Buttigieg has dominated the opening two rounds of the ACU Championship with best figures of 6.645-219mph.  Chris Neary winner of the Festival of Power is making progress with running Methanol. Graham Dance is enjoying his time in Comp Bike. Jordan Kenway is still looking for his seven-second pass. Paul Hambridge makes his first appearance in 2022 and has run 7.3sec.

Super Street Bike.

Daniel Lencses has raised the bar this year running 6.7secs at over 220mph. Won round one of the European FIM Championship here at Santa Pod.  Reigning ACU Super Street Bike Champion Steve Venables won the Festival of Power and leads the championship. He has also dipped into the 6.7sec zone at over 220mph. Jake Mechaell won his first ACU event by winning the Springspeed Nationals and recently dipped into 6.7secs. There are two riders close to running in the six-second zone, they are Ross Morrison 7.01 and Mark Hope 7.02. Garry Bowe has a new frame and should be back in the sixes. Two Dutch riders making a return to the UK are Rudolfo Maduro and Thurty Martina.
