Southern 100 Marshals Association have been informed that our Affiliate Association the South Australian Flag Marshals enjoyed a ride out and lunch last Sunday 13th September around the Adelaide area, observing Covid19 conditions in that area.
Like ourselves they are suffering from a lack of Racing this season, but all are preparing to return to 'normal' once circumstances allow. Last year we welcomed and spent time with a party of our friends from SAFMA, on the Isle of Man.
They remembered seeing the young farmers metal sculpture of the bull and on seeing this made this marvel- lous sculpture of Kenny Blake similarly fashioned out of metal parts.
The plaque also adds poignancy to the fact that Kenny died from a racing incident whilst racing on the Isle of Man. Southern 100 Racing look forward to once again welcoming the SAFMA to Billown and joining the S100MA in assisting with the running of the ‘friendly races’.
