February with a race at Santon, Thetford Forest for the older riders.
The youth started their campaign early and after the gruelling 2 hour Adult Extreme Enduro race at Foxborough recently the youths completed an hours race over a shortened course following a short run to their stationary bikes which needed a kick start before the race began. With less brutal obstacles but no less tactically testing and challenging the conditions were wet muddy and very slippery with a lengthy deep flooded section Freya Jolly took the lead after a great sprint to the start but couldn’t quite keep up the pace as the track with its steep sloping camber and deep ruts took out a few casualties on the first lap, Will Belton skimmed over the ruts and continually lapped the less experienced riders finally finishing on 22 laps with William turtle a very respectable 2nd
place on 19 laps Micheal Wilson kept up a good pace in the conditions recording 15 laps to take up the last podium position for the prize giving bringing a great days racing to a close. It looks to be an exciting year for them all and a great opportunity to progress up to the adult ranks.
