Sidecar Speedway heads to Somerset this Friday
The 1000cc methanol-guzzling Sidecars are in Somerset this Friday for the second round of the ACU British Sidecar Speedway Championships. And if last season is anything to go by Speedway fans will be in for an evening of thrilling, fairing-rubbing, edge of the seat racing.

The crews travelled to the Isle of Wight earlier in the month for the first round. Defending champion Paul Whitelam and stand in passenger Richard Webb took the win in the final and lead this season’s championships on 15 points. Will Penfold/Ricky Pay are only three points behind on 12 points one ahead of Mick Cave/Bradley Steer and ex-champions Mark Cossar/Sam Heath. The latter having a rather expensive night after a broken chain holed the crankcase leaving dad Andy Cossar to do the fatherly thing and offer his bike for the remainder of the night.

We have a full-line up that's great value for only £10 Adults and kids are FREE.

All the weather reports look great and if Glastonbury Festival may put you off, by the time we arrive the festival will be well underway.

So with one round gone a few crews have to play catch up so the action is sure to be hot in Somerset.
