ACU Cromwell Trucks and Zip Under 21 British Quad Championships reach halfway point
With both the ACU Cromwell Trucks and the ACU Zip Racing Under 21 British Quad Championships now at the halfway point of the Championship following the opening four rounds it was the ideal point to look at the action so far.

After the taking the championship lead at the opening round, reigning champion Paul Holmes unfortunately picked up an injury at the second round which has seen him miss the remaining rounds.

Taking over at the top of the championship standings is Mark McLernon who took 6 race wins across the back to back rounds in Ireland and followed it up with three second place finishes at Mildenhall to go into the second half of the season with a 53-point lead.

Second in the championship is Harry Walker who has had some strong results so far this year, but a mixed bag of results at Mildenhall saw the reigning Under 21 champion loss points at the top of the championship.

Third in the championship is Justin Reid, the veteran Quad rider jumped back into championship contention after taking two race wins at the Mildenhall round and sits just 7 points behind Walker.

In the ZIP Racing Under 21 Championship Harry Walker once again leads the standings after claiming 6 of the 12 races wins so far this year. Closely behind Walker is Dean Dillon who has taken 5 race wins, including a maximum points score at Mildenhall to close the gap to 19 points.

Third in the class is the only other class winner, Murray Graham who is just 39 points off the championship lead. One rider to suffer injury so far this season was young Ayrton Knowles who after a promising opening round then suffered an injury while competing at another event and is know ruled out for the remainder of the season and we wish Ayrton a speedy recovery and hope to see him back next year.

The two championships now return to action on Sunday 30th June at Preston Docks.
