Team GB Get Ready Before the 2018 FIM Junior World Motocross Championship Gets Underway
With the 2018 FIM Junior World Motocross Championship due to get underway today with technical control and welcome ceremony, the team are getting ready for the big weekend in Australia.

This evening in Australia the team took part in a bowling competition during which we caught up with Eddie Jay Wade, Kyle McNicol, Preston Williams, Ethan Lane and Jak Taylor.

Eddie Jay Wade

“I have been here in Australia since Tuesday night. It’s a lovely place and a lot different to Spain and England. The track is good; I have walked it twice today and probably a bit more tomorrow. There’s some nice jumps, appears to be no rocks at all on the track. It should be a good weekend and finally I would like to say how helpful and welcoming the club running the event are.”

Kyle McNicol

“I am feeling really good for the weekend. The bike is how I have it back at home, so I am happy with how everything is going. We have kept it stock. I have been to look at the track and managed to walk twice. The team have done a good job on the track and I am looking forward to going and having some fun.”

Preston Williams

“I am really excited ahead of this weekend. I am looking forward to be able to race my bike against such great riders. I am feeling good on the bike following yesterdays long practice session and Tuesday’s session.  The bike feels good and very much same to my bike back in the UK.”

Jak Taylor

“I am really excited about the weekend and will just see what I can do which is my best. The track looks really good. My bike has had a lot of work done on it today with my engine being put into the bike, which we brought over with us.”

Ethan Lane

“I arrived in Melbourne on Tuesday following a break. It’s been a really good two days practicing this week ahead of this weekend. The track looks good and maybe will turn a little rutty throughout the event.”

We will be doing live updates throughout the event on the Team GB official social media pages. For more information head over to
