Encouraging Number of Entries Received for the Post TT Road Races
Entries received for the Radcliffe’s Butchers Post-TT Road Races are well up on last year as entries draw to a close for this year’s event that will take place on Saturday Afternoon and Evening 10th June, 2017.

Heading the list is last year’s double winner, William Dunlop who will be out to repeat his successes on his 600 IC/Caffrey Yamaha and the 1000cc Temple Golf Club Yamaha machines.

However, the popular Ballymoney rider will not have it all his own way with Yorkshire rivals Jamie Coward and James Cowton out to steel the limelight.

Jamie Coward will be wanting to make it a home victory for his Castletown based team Radcliffe Racing, whilst James Cowton would like to return his McAdoo Kawasaki Team to winning ways on the Billown Course, where they have achieved many race wins in the hands of Bob Jackson and more latterly Ryan Farquhar in the saddle.

Add to the mix, the likes of Robert Wilson, third last year; David Lumsden Glen Harrison, Mark Parrett, Davy Morgan, Jamie Williams and Mark Goodings and the pressure will be on to take the first win of the day.

James Cowton was the winner in the Supertwins race in 2016 ahead of his near neighbour Jamie Coward, and whilst the latter is not entered in this class this year, the Droffield rider will have Michael Russell, David Lumsden and Anthony Redmond to contend with during the six lap race.

The feature, Manx Independent Carriers 1100cc Race over eight laps of the 4.25-mile Billown Course will see all the main suspects line up on the grid with Dunlop, Coward, Cowton, Russell, Goodings, Morgan, Redmomd and Parrett all favouring the 1000cc four-cylinder machines, as does previous winner Ryan Kneen.

The only certain outcome, is that no quarter will be given or taken and it will be a tense and exciting race with the winner being decided at the chequered flag!

Practice and Qualifying takes place between 1.00pm and 4.00pm and the Race Action getting underway between 5.00pm and 8.30pm at the latest.

Manx Radio will bring the build up to the races, lap by lap live commentary and the winner’s immediate reactions prior to the garlanding ceremonies, fans will be able to listen to the full commentary on AM 1368. On-Line at MANXRADIO.COM and around the Billown Course on 87.9 FM
