2017 British Extreme Enduro Championship Gears Up for Round 2
Following a superb opening event at Tong just under a month ago the second round of the British Extreme championship is shaping up to be a cracker at Cowm this Sunday February 5th.

The entry is once again bursting at the seams and the Pro Championship line-up holds all the big guns of British extreme enduro; Jarvis, Knight, Bolt, Bolton alongside Gary Daniels, Rich Ely, Sam Winterburn, Luke Flack, Keelan Hancock, Owain Humphries and Lee Sealey but a great indicator to the growing popularity of the hard stuff is in the Sportsman ranks with nearly 100 riders flooding the class.

Cowm’s big, open and technical course is in complete contrast to the woodland setting of Tong, a fact that makes the event easily viewable from many areas of the venue. The main features of big rock-strewn hills and even bigger rock gardens has small stretches where riders can ‘rest’ for short spells before tackling the next tough section but none of the course can be considered easy.

It’s big and it’s wild, it has the best of British riders and it’s on this Sunday at Cowm Quarry near Whitworth, Lancs, postcode is OL12 8XG and spectator entry fees are £10 for adults, £5 for under 16’s and OAP’s with under 5’s free.

With the third round, Ed’s of the Valley, in just three weeks’ time in Mid Wales on February 26th the events are coming thick and fast in this exciting series that has really established Extreme Enduro alongside the BEC and British Sprints on the ACU calendar.
