Richmond Motor Club (Yorkshire) National Mintex Trophy Trial, Hurst, Sunday.
The battle of the moors fires up again at remote Hurst where the unique National Mintex Trophy Trial will test the stamina and skills of fifty three Class A and B youngsters. For some reason this two lap race against the clock and thirty sections seems to be again an aventure and provides of foretaste of just what the Scott Trial is about. Exactly the same as the Scott Trial. Nathan Stones and his team have spent time locating sections.

As for the classes Class B features Billy Green who is a class act in the British Trials Championship. He should be sharp but Daniel Slack and Keiran Child are well able to give the Newton Abbott RCM Beta rider a run for his money. Consider also the Michelin tyres up for grabs. The company have again donated three tyres, as they have done for several years. Truro is a long way from Swaledale but Tim Martyn is the chauffeur while son Toby aims not to blow apart his RCM backed Beta. Last year Fife's Joe Dawson won riding his HLS Beta and set standard time with Keiran Child taking third place.

Duncan MacColl, Jack Biggins, Scott Aitken, Ben Dignan and Zac Collinson will be threats. The first competitor starts at 10.30 am and then at 30 second intervals. Only competitors and travelling marshals are permitted on the course, all of which is on private land. McIntyres Burger Queen unit will be providing hot and cold food and beverages for the duration of the trial.
