PREMIER CHAMPIONSHIP GETS UNDERWAY AT WHITEWAY BARTON
This Sunday March 6th the long awaited 2016 motocross season gets underway in the South West of England with the opening round of the Phoenix Tools Premier motocross Championship at Whiteway Barton, Kingsteignton in Devon.

 

Over 200 riders have registered for the 2016 Championships which consist of Experts, Over 35’s, 40’s and Over 50’s, juniors and new to 2016 a six round Championship for Evo’s and 2-strokes.

 

In the Experts there is a star line up which includes the likes of Jamie Skuse, Tom Moore, Kelvin Townsend, Joe Jeffries, Jake Penny, James Kensington, Ben Hunt, Josh Taylor plus many more.

 

In the Over age classes which as with other years has been very popular and includes the likes of Ben Harmon, Wayne Shimell, James Price and Jonathan Morrissey in the Over 35’s plus in the Over 40’s 2015 Champion Terry House, Chris Brown, Martyn Tucker, Richard Cuff, Steve Elford and Julian Turner to name a few, and in the Over 50’s the likes of David Ford, Dave Watson and Sammy Doble who will be on his Maico.

 

In the juniors there are many new riders with some moving up into the Adults from the schoolboy ranks who will join the likes of Jay Lewis, Harry Linton, Harry Mitchell, Elliott Cook plus many others.

 

Also featured at Whiteway will be the opening round of the 2016 Evo Championship which will include many riders returning to the sport like Ricky Brown and former 1991 South West and Cornish Supercross Champion Andrew Williams.

 

Whiteway Barton is an excellent viewing track with easy parking and will be signposted off the A380 Exeter to Newton Abbot road (Sat Nav TQ12 3QF) with the first race at 10-30am. For more info ring Greta on 01884 840078)
