Yeadon-Guiseley Motor Club’s ‘Superstars Trial’ Heads to Addingham Moorside on June 20th and 21st

Yeadon-Guiseley’s move to stage a Superstars Trial at Addingham Moorside on June 21 has attracted twenty two top class competitors from this country but not the British Champion James Dabill or his major rival Michael Brown.

Michael is still recovering from his Japanese crash and Dabill’s Vertigo machine will go straight back to the factory after two days of world trial action at Penrith. There is a chance that some of the world contenders may stop off at the Y-G event but it is doubtful. However Alexz Wigg, Sam Haslam and Jack Challoner have entered but it is a fair assumption that all eyes will be on Billy Bolt and Jack Price.

‘Fearless’ Billy will attack the Moorside rock faces in his usual style. Eight contenders are listed for the championship class and a further fourteen ride the expert sections. Guy Kendrew, Richard Sadler, Andy Chilton all ride under Team Italiano colours while current Centre champion Sam Yeadon rides his Acklam Beta. Pontypool’s Joel Edwards represents Wales while Brad Bullock takes the expert route and his brother Dec hits the hard stuff, Danny Cockshott has three laps of twelve sections, two of which are arena type hazards, marked for the Wetherby Skips Hire sponsored event.

Trades stands and catering will be in the trial areas. Charges will be £5.00 for spectators and cars. Overnight camping will be charged at the same price. The Club have secured a new parking area right opposite the main gate.

Practice will commence at 1.00 pm on Saturday. The trial will start at 9.30 am on Sunday morning.
