Former Yorkshire Centre ACU Secretary Brenda Jones succumbed to a brain tumour on Monday -22-09-14. Mrs Jones was Centre Secretary from 1992 to 1999 and also was Secretary of the Yeadon-Guiseley Motor Club. She had been diagnosed with the tumour in June.
Brenda was a strong active official of the Yorkshire Centre, as club member, as observer, and latterly as secretary. Her husband Paul passed away two years ago. She leaves a daughter Pauline and sons Christopher and Tony.
For many years the family home was in Titus Street, Saltaire. It was familiar calling point for officials and competitors where Brenda Jones dealt with queries and many other matters relating to the sport of motor cycle trials.
The funeral of the late Brenda Jones will take place at Nab Wood Cemetery Shipley on October 1 at 10.50 am. By request no flowers but donations to the Marie Curie Cancer Care.
