British Supermoto Championship - Its Close At The Half Way Stage

Round Five British Supermoto Championship - 19th - 20th July - Wigan

The British Supermoto Championship heads for Three Sisters Race Circuit in Wigan on July 19th - 20th and its looking like being another bumper event for spectators and riders alike.  A thriving resurgence in the sport has been witnessed this year and with record crowds at the last meeting at Rednal in Shropshire the riders are all fired up to put on a great show at the Wigan event.

The 450 Elite championship going into round five is headed by Lewis Cornish (CRT) with close on his heels and just three points behind is the DCR / Nameplate Services rider Matt Winstanley.  On the other hand the Open Elite Championship provides an even tighter margin with Chris Hodgson (Skyzone Pope KTM) holding just a one point lead over DCR / Nameplate Services rider Davey Todd, so everyone will be out to ensure they either maintain the lead, or close the gap in the championship at this meeting.

A few new classes have also been introduced and the Wigan event will see the second outing of the British Supermoto Mini Bike Series, plus the popular 'Try Out Trackday Sessions' aimed at novice and road riders to come and have a go at the sport in a relaxed format.

Action starts at 10:00 am both days.

See you there.
