Bristow wins Ladies and Girls Trials Championship
The fourth event in the Ladies and Girls Trials Championship on Sunday at the Victory Moto Park was another sterling result for British adult champion MRS Sherco teamster Emma Bristow. In the Adult class Emma Bristow has an eight point lead over Becky Cook. Talented teenager Nikita Smith has edged closer and is now a mere fourteen championship points behind Cook. The Fryup girl jumped free fall solo two weeks ago.

Lincoln’s Louise Alford heads Class A from Bristol blonde Victoria Payne and determined Darlington girl Beth Waite. The girls finished in that order so Navenby’s willowy tall blonde is sitting pretty on maximum points. Wokings’ Millie Ray makes up the quartet just eight points behind Miss Waite.

Class B is still a totally unpredictable class. Barnsley’s Megan Savage holds sway over Alice Minta and Gabby Whitham in the results. Telford’s fiery Alice Minta suffered a poor first lap and a cracking final lap of just eight penalties. Niamh Richardson and Alicia Robinson were well in contention.

Hook Woods contender Hannah Moore added another twenty points to her clean sweep of Class C but Consett’s Amy Turpin is still right on track with three second places. Elizabeth Tett makes up the trio. Lancashire graphic designer Charlotte Kimber enjoyed a Baxter free trial but Katy Bullock romped away from Catherine Alford who is getting back into her stride. Charlotte missed the number two spot by two penalties. Olivia Pearson won the Girls A Intermediate Class and Leah Robinson & Jennifer Crabtree won the non-championship classes.

The next Ladies and Girls Championship events will bo organized by the Zona 1 M.C.C. on June 21/22 at Harecombe Farm, Syde GL53 9PN & Birdlip Quarry GL4 8LA.
