RYGOR SAYS “GOOD LUCK” TO THE BRITISH TEAMS COMPETING IN THE ISDE
One of the top British Enduro riders, Jordan Rose of Electraction TM Racing, pictured in front of one of the three Mercedes-Benz trucks supplied by Rygor Group.
Rygor, the largest dealer group within the Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles network has delivered three vehicles - two Mercedes-Benz 7.5 tonne box vans and a Sprinter van, to the British teams competing in the ‘Olympics’ of off-road motorcycle sport, the FIM (Federation of International Motorcycling) International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) being staged in Sardinia, 30th September - 6th October 2013.

The vehicles will be used to transport the bikes and equipment needed by the 10 riders of the ACU (Auto Cycle Union) British ISDE Trophy and Junior Trophy teams, and there to hand them over was Jim Pascoe, group operations manager of Rygor.

Accepting the keys to the vehicles, Dusty Martin, the ACU British ISDE team manager said: “This is the ninth year Rygor has supported the teams and we are extremely grateful for their continuing support which began in 2005.  Logistics plays a key role in competing in such a prestigious international event, and no matter how good the riders or how competitive their machines, it’s all for nothing if we can’t get there!”

The Enduro dates back 100 years to 1913 when the first event was held in Carlisle, making it the oldest off-road motorcycle event in the FIM sporting calendar.  With eight hours riding every day for six consecutive days, timed stages and special tests, this is an extremely arduous event.

The Rygor group now includes 12 Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle dealerships and eight vehicle maintenance centres, mostly across southern England - see details below and at www.rygor.co.uk
