Ladies and Girls Trials Championship head into a double header weekend

It does seem strange but the ACU Ladies and Girls Trials Championship progresses this weekend to only the third and fourth events in the series.

Mansfield Maun stage the fourth round at Bracken Rocks while Leueen and Gordon Lawley get the championship back on track at Upper Spoad Farm, Newcastle on Clun, on Saturday morning where twenty females go into battle for championship points.

The big names, Emma B, Becky C and Katy S at least got some hard practice in at the Inter Centre Team Trial along with Mansfield's Jess Bown and Lancashire lass Charly Kimber. Charlotte is right from Bernard Manning country.

Many of the contenders have ridden both events this year so to be brief Emma Bristow, Louise and Catherine Alford, Beth Waite and Bristol's Victoria Payne are sitting on forty points while Izzy Saunders has put her Jotogas at the top of the non-championship category.

Things could and will change after the double header this weekend. Gordon Lawley has planned the three lap twelve section course for the South Shropshire Motor Cycle Club's championship event.
