The 2013 British Youth Nationals Series heads to the impressive Fat Cats Moto Parc facility in Armthorpe near Doncaster this weekend.
Round 3 of the championship is set for some amazing racing on the tough sand surface of Fat Cats.
The Fat Cats Moto Parc, which hosted the opening round of this year's Maxxis British Championship back in March, is the largest motocross MX facility in the UK. The track this weekend will be feature fast flowing bends and rhythm sections, while the deep sand is guaranteed to provide a tough challenge for the riders in all classes.
In the open class the top three in the championship are separated by only 58 points, with only two rounds remaining can Jack Kelly continue his series lead or will Brad Todd close in on his 23 point margin?
In the 65 Juniors Lewis Hall has been the dominant rider so far this year and is heading to Doncaster with a 67 point advantage over Curtis Trimble in second and Irish rider Jack Galvin in third.
Harry Kimber needs to be at the top of his game this weekend in the SW85 class as both Jed Etchells and Nathan Claughan are nipping at his heels for the championship lead. There are only 7 points separating the top 3 - battle royal for sure.
Jay Hague in the BW85 class has a 45 point lead in one of the most competitive classes this year in the championship. The battle continues with Albie Wilkie and David Galvin chasing hard to close in on the leader - it's not over yet, that's for sure.
The under 23 class has proved popular with all riders from around the UK. Stand outrider Daniel Hutchinson leads by over 50 points from Luke Newman and Sam Winterburn. Luke and Sam are both looking for their first race wins of the season which may just come this weekend in the deep sand of Fat Cats.
"We've been lucky with the weather so far this season, and we're hoping for these conditions to continue this weekend at Fat Cats, the forecast is very hot and humid" said Gareth Hockey, Director of RHL Activities. "With the forecast as it is riders need to make sure they drink plenty of water and stay out of the hot sun as much as possible.
The track itself will provide a challenge for all the riders this weekend, which should ensure we see the same close racing that has epitomized the British Youth Nationals Series so far."
