Youth A & B finale heads to Bracken Rocks

The Youth Class A and B class championship may be wrapped in favour of Jack Price and Dan Peace but just who will mount the podium on Sunday at Bracken Rocks will be open to conjecture until all the punch cards are in the hands of Michelle Naufahu and her Mansfield Maun results team of Judith Black and Diane Wraight.

Class A in this final Luscombe Suzuki Leeds sponsored championship series is going right down to the wire. Iwan Roberts is bouncing on his brand new 2013 Trials Wales owned and sponsored 125c Beta UK machine. The boy from Blaenau FFestiniog got his hands on the new bike at Rhyl on Saturday afternoon. He heads MRS Sherco star Luke Walker by two championship points with Chester’s Dec Bullock trailing by twenty two points after the Longframlington entry fiasco. Walker excels at Bracken Rocks so Ashby de la Zouch could be on the high list on Sunday night.

The word on the grapevine is that Dec and Brad Bullock aim to be in the hunt. The twins were third and fifth at Low Row –Omen? Don’t drop Shrewsbury’s Tom Minta off the Class B calculations. He is levelling with Tom Hooper on eighty eight points, four up on Billy Bolt and Sam Yeomans rides his frit championship on Sunday on his JSt Gas Gas, and he knows Bracken Rocks.

Start time will be 11.00 am with three laps of twelve sections. Terry Crabtree is the section commander but Thomas McDowell and Henry Snowdon have done the donkey work. Catering and toilets on site but no overnight camping is permitted.
