The ACU’s Trials & Enduro Committee are pleased to announce both the Men’s and Women’s Teams for the Trials Des Nations event, due to be held in the Isle of Man on 28th – 30th September 2007.
Both Teams will be the same as 2006, the Ladies and current Champions consisting of Becky Cook, Maria Conway and Donna Fox, with Katy Sunter as reserve. The Mens’ Team will be James Dabill, Graham Jarvis, Dougie Lampkin and Shaun Morris with newly crowned World Junior Trial Champion Michael Brown as reserve.
Last year the Ladies recorded a superb victory and turned the tables on the Spanish, in a very close finish, with the top 3 separated by just 8 points. Unfortunately, the men were unable to deny the Competition favourites the top step of the podium and finished in second place to the Spaniards. Hopefully, all the riders will maintain their current fitness levels, but with the depth of talent in this Country, there will be many names on the list ready to fill the places should illness or injury prevent any of the above taking part.
John Collins, Team Manager said, “Last year the Ladies recorded a fantastic victory and I’m sure will be determined to keep hold of the Trophy, whilst the Men face a very difficult task to beat the dominant Spanish, but with ‘home’ advantage they will certainly be trying to turn the tables on their rivals.”
