GLOBAL ENTRY FOR TRIAL DES NATIONS

Wednesday September 5, 2007 at 12:00am

Other men’s teams are: France, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, United States, Japan, Germany, Netherlands, Latvia, Norway, Sweden, Australia, Switzerland, Canada, Luxembourg and Poland.

The women’s contest features reigning TDN champions Great Britain, with the others: France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, United States, Germany, Netherlands, Norway and Canada.

Welcome news is that late agreement has been reached to use observed sections at the former Howstrake Holiday Camp in Onchan, which proved so popular with spectators at the TDN in 1997 and the World Championship rounds in 1999 and 2002.

The coastline has a natural amphitheatre giving fans the chance to get really close up to the action as competitors wrestle their machines up and over the jagged Irish Sea rockery.  Other observed sections will be Governor’s Bridge Dip, Groudle Glen, Groudle Head, White City, Port Jack, Summer Hill Glen and TT Grandstand Pit Lane.

All will be easily reached by a special bus service which will operate free throughout the weekend.

Headquarters hotel will be the Sefton on Douglas Promenade, with the event itself run from the fully-equipped TT Grandstand on Glencrutchery Road.
