All nine of the 2026 ACU TrialGB titles will be decided this weekend (12-13 September) as the final two rounds of the season are played out at Geddington.
With three events and six rounds complete, the battle for silverware will reach its climax in Northamptonshire as the British Championship regulars take to the same fantastic terrain that tested the world’s best riders at the UK’s TrialGP round last September (pictured above).The event is being organised by CL Events which also put on the TrialGP event.
In the championship battles, Harry Hemingway leads the TrialGB standings by eight points from younger brother George, while Alice Minta tops the TrialGB Women points. Jack Spencer has a narrow three-point advantage in Trial2 and Summer Peters sits two points clear in Trial2 Women.
Charlie Smith is the Expert class leader, while Mason Vasey tops Trial3. Sophie Sellers (pictured) has a four-point lead in Trial3 Girls, with Niki Louis out front in Trial3 Women. Hudson Ravenhill-White is the favourite for the Trial4 title thanks to his 20-point lead.
If any of these riders are looking for title-winning inspiration heading into this weekend, Trial2 ace Harison Skelton can provide it.
The youngster was crowned the 2026 FIM Trial3 World Champion last weekend in the Netherlands and he’s in outside contention for the British Trial2 title at Geddington as well.
Speaking about his world championship success, the 18-year-old Scorpa rider said: “It’s definitely something special and it’s not a feat that everyone can say they’ve achieved. I’m really pleased to have got the Trial3 title under my belt.
“It’s been a hard-fought season, but that has benefited me. It’s turned me into a more mature rider, just from having to handle the pressure and be so consistent all season. My mentality and my riding have come on leaps and bounds and I’ve gained a lot of experience from it.”
There has been little opportunity for Skelton to celebrate his world title so far, with his attention immediately switching back to his TrialGB campaign and the fight for victory in the Trial2 class.
A failure to score points at the second Devon round has left him with a 24-point deficit to make up in the series standings. He’s therefore focused on using his world championship momentum to hopefully ensure a strong finish at Geddington.
“I’m quite a way off the Trial2 lead after the DNF in Devon, so I’ll just go there open-minded and try to deliver the best performance I can,” he added.
“I really like Geddington. I won my first British title there, then last year I had my first home world championship win there in Trial3. That was another unbelievable day, so I’ve got some great memories of the place and I’m really looking forward to going back.”
Geddington insight
A relatively new venue on the UK Trials circuit, Geddington has enjoyed tremendous success in a short space of time.
First used to successfully host a TrialGB event in 2024, the venue’s status was further elevated in 2025 when it hosted the UK’s FIM Trial World Championship round. Harry Hemingway (Beta) was crowned the FIM Trial2 World Champion at that particular fixture.
Geddington provides a challenging course, consisting of huge rocks and steep climbs in the wooded areas.
A maximum entry of 93 riders will compete across two laps of 12 observed sections in a set time. Two sets of TrialGB championship points will be up for grabs on Saturday and Sunday.
