Team GB can confirm that Steve Holcombe has been forced to withdraw from the 2026 FIM 6DAYS Enduro of Nations in Portugal due to a wrist issue which requires surgery.
Holcombe is understandably disappointed to miss the event and was really looking forward to representing Great Britain once again. However, his health and recovery must come first, and the team fully supports his decision to prioritise his wellbeing.
Details of the rider joining the Men’s Trophy Team will be announced shortly. Despite this change, Team GB remains confident that it will field a very strong Men’s Trophy Team as the squad prepares for the 100th edition of the 6DAYS.
Joe Wootton – Men’s and Junior Team Manager: “It’s really disappointing to lose Steve, especially knowing how much he was looking forward to representing Team GB again. But, his health has to come first, and we wish him a speedy recovery. We still have a very strong Men’s Trophy Team, and I’m fully confident in the riders we have heading to Portugal.”
