Cash prizes return to the start line as Foxwood Trade backs the final round of the Motul MXGB ACU British Motocross Championship at Blaxhall
Woodbridge & District Motor Cycle Club are delighted to confirm the return of the popular Foxwood Trade Holeshot Awards for the final round of the Motul MXGB ACU British Motocross Championship at Blaxhall on Sunday, 27 September 2026.
With the British Championship reaching its dramatic conclusion at the Suffolk circuit, the Foxwood Trade Holeshot Awards will add even more incentive to one of the most spectacular moments of every motocross race – the gate drop and sprint into the opening corner.
Thanks to the continued support of Foxwood Trade, riders competing in the MX1 and MX2 classes will once again battle for a £100 cash award in every race, awarded to the rider who gets the holeshot.
The MX125 class will also benefit from the initiative, with £50 available in every race for the rider who leads the field through the opening corner.
With championship positions and season-ending honours on the line, the start straight at Blaxhall is set to provide some of the most intense racing of the day. Every rider will be looking to make the perfect launch and put themselves at the front before the first corner. Foxwood Trade has been a long-standing supporter of Woodbridge & DMCC, dating back to the club’s first British Championship event at Blaxhall in 2015.
The trade-focused arm of Foxwood Ceramics, based in Kesgrave near Ipswich, is a family-run business established in 2018, supplying a wide range of quality wall and floor tiles to both trade and retail customers.
The company is owned by former motocross rider Matt Cottrell, whose passion for the sport continues through his support of motocross and his son James Cottrell, a former European competitor and British Championship contender.
The Foxwood Trade Holeshot Award has become a popular feature of racing at Blaxhall, rewarding riders for their speed and determination from the moment the gate drops. Richard Blyth of Woodbridge & DMCC said:
“We are incredibly grateful to Foxwood Trade for continuing their support of the club and the Motul MXGB finale at Blaxhall.
“The Holeshot Award has become a real favourite with both riders and spectators. There is nothing quite like watching 40 riders charge towards the first corner and knowing there is a cash prize waiting for the rider who gets there first adds another dimension to that opening lap.
“With the British Championship reaching its conclusion at Blaxhall, we’re expecting some incredible racing, and the Foxwood Trade Holeshot Awards will be right at the heart of the action.”
The Motul MXGB ACU British Motocross Championship Final will bring the UK’s leading motocross riders to Blaxhall for a full day of championship racing, with the final points of the season and British Championship honours at stake.
