Supermono GB - Brands Hatch 4th/5th July
What a hot weekend for racing at the great circuit of Brands Hatch. Action was just as hot on the track as off it.

The ACU National Championship, sponsored by Titan Beds & Moto 12 Twelve, saw a flying Jack Long pull 7 seconds clear of the rest of the field, dominating the race for start to finish. A great ride from Mark Evans secured him 2nd place followed closely by Joe Woodward for 3rd. There was some good midfield battling going on between Dave Lenton, Joe Webb, Steve House & Brian Stroud all nose to tail and swapping positions.

The Clubman's ACU race saw that man Mark Fairweather take the victory over Neil Bagley, a close fought battle, and the mighty Doug Low securing 3rd over a hard charging Ian Higton.

We had the "men to beat" at the front of the EVO class doing their thing and you couldn't have got a closer race than race 1 between Mike Edwards, Ant Hart and Jack Long. Just 0.075 of a second covering them over the line. Fantastic racing. A couple of new faces having a go at the front were Adam Carson and Richard Molnar, showing good potential running just behind the leaders. Mike “Spike” Edwards took all 4 wins and lap record of 50.432.

The Clubman class races were hotly contested between returning Antony Stroud, Neil Bagley and championship leader Mark Fairweather. With the rest of the field not far behind. Very close racing was had all weekend.

Well done to everyone that travelled down to Brands, it was good to see a healthy grid. Next up is Donington Park on the 1st&2nd August where the grid is full. All with some overseas riders coming to race. A testament to how well the Supermono GB club is progressing.

This will be a superb weekend to come and watch the Supermono's in action. If anyone wants to get involved in racing or in sponsoring then please get in touch with us. Either email [email protected] or just come and have a chat at one our meetings. It would be great to see you.

A massive thanks to all our sponsors who help make all this happen and a huge thanks to the CRMC - Classic Racing Motorcycle Club for hosting our series.
