The Darley Moor Motor Cycle Road Race Club are preparing for a bumper four rounds of racing this forthcoming weekend, 20th/21st June 2026, at the Darley Moor Sports Centre, near Ashbourne, DE6 2ET (or What3words: bounty.behalf.charm).
As anticipated, the entries are a little slower coming in than normal, following the Isle of Man TT, but already many championship leaders have sent their entries, some benefitting hugely, with a maximum of 60points available across the weekend. Although, the same points tally will be available at the season finale, Stars at Darley, in October.
From those entries received eight different championship leaders, from 12 classes, have their entries in.
Jonathan Trezins (Wisbech) currently heads the tables in the Golden Supersport 600 class and Darley Cup, enjoying a 22point lead in the Golden Supersport 600, over Ben Dale (Warrington), with Martyn Cooper (Stoke on Trent) just a further 4points in 3rd. He then enjoys a 24point lead over Paul Evans (Awsworth), with David Carson (Northwich) a further 2points back.
Carson will, again, be one of the busier competitors over the weekend with another entry in the SuperTwins class, which he has turned the tables on Evans, with a 3point advantage, with Russell Dodds (Bedale) on the same points. Carson will then be looking to improve on his 6th place standing in the Open 600s class, which is looking to be one of the larger grids over the weekend. Leader of the class, Ricky Tarren (Swadlincote) could benefit as other than Carson, his nearest challenger, at the time of writing, is Dale, in 5th spot.
Stephen Parsons (Carnforth) currently leads the Ben Godfrey Trophy and is 3rd in the Open Solo, whilst Matt Bell (Sheffield) is 13 points adrift in the Trophy class, but is 2nd in the Open Solos, 2points ahead of Parsons. Mark Goodings (Doncaster) will also be lining up on the grid, currently 4th place in both classes; 20points adrift in the Trophy Class, but 31pts back in the Open Solo class.
Richard Hughes (Wolverhampton) has a 24point advantage in the Honda CB500/Suzuki Bandit 600, his nearest championship challenger, currently entered, is 5th placed, Shane Watson (Sutton in Ashfield).
Anthony Thane (Stoke on Trent) currently heads the Mini Twins class, leading Liam Clements (Stafford) by 28points, with Thomas Gallagher (Loughborough) a further 4points behind.
The final championship leaders on the entry list, so far, are the Open Sidecar pairing of Alan Molyneux (Rufford) and Courtney Anderson (Houghton le Spring), currently having a 14point lead over Keith Waddington/Kyia Illman (Barnsley/Crewe). The highest placed entries currently in the Formula 600 Sidecars are the 3rd and 4th placed teams of Richard Butler (Leicester) and Derek Taylor (Eccles), with 4th placed pairing of Mark & Amelia Berry (Bolton), 4th.
Ant Porter (Chesterfield) holds the Runner-up spot in both the Lightweight and Wilson Trophy classes and heads the entries in both classes, at the moment. There will be plenty of challengers for points in the Lightweight class, with 3rd placed Steve Price (Stockport), 4th placed Mike Lees (Congleton) heading the challengers. Lees also heads the challenge on the Wilson Trophy grid.
There is sure to be many more entries to come in for the weekend, so be sure not to miss out on the action.
