GTSA Racing Hosts ACU British Grasstrack Championship This Sunday in West Sussex

The ACU British Grasstrack Championship heads to Shipley, West Sussex, this Sunday, 7 June, as GTSA Racing hosts one of the sport’s premier events at its Hooklands Lane circuit.

 

Fans can look forward to an exciting day of championship action as all three reigning British champions return to defend their titles. Ashton Vale
 will defend the 250cc Solo Championship, Paul Cooper returns as the reigning 350cc Solo Champion, while Rob Heath aims to retain the 1000cc Left-Hand Sidecar Championship.

 

Alongside the championship classes, spectators will also enjoy competitive racing from the 1000cc Right-Hand Sidecars, who will battle for the prestigious Steer Trophy, as well as a full programme of Quad racing.

 

The event also marks a significant milestone for GTSA Racing, with special celebrations taking place to commemorate the club’s 75th anniversary. Former riders, club members and guests will join the festivities, including former rider and multiple 350cc British Champion Steve Schofield, who will be attending as part of the celebrations.

 

Spectator facilities include hot food, a licensed bar and flush toilet facilities, while camping is available on Saturday evening for those wishing to make a weekend of the event.

 

Practice gets underway at 10:30am, with the first race at midday.
