The FIM Europe Track Racing Commission has confirmed the three wildcard entries for the European Individual Grass Track Championship Final, scheduled to take place in Aduard, in the north of the Netherlands, on 29 August.
The three places have been awarded to reigning FIM World Long Track Champion Zach Wajtknecht (ACU), Dutch rider Mika Meijer (KNMV) and France’s Noah Urda (FFM). Their inclusion adds world-class experience, local interest and promising young talent to an already competitive field.
The trio will join the leading riders qualified for the Final, including the top three finishers from last year’s edition: defending champion Kenneth Kruse Hansen (DMU), runner-up Dave Meijerink (KNMV) and third-placed Chris Harris (ACU).
Confirmed Wildcard Entries
· Zach Wajtknecht (ACU – Great Britain)
· Mika Meijer (KNMV – The Netherlands)
· Noah Urda (FFM – France)
Zach Wajtknecht (ACU – Great Britain)
Wajtknecht arrives in Aduard as the reigning FIM World Long Track Champion, having secured the title in 2025 after previously winning silver in 2022 and bronze in 2024. One of the sport’s leading international riders, the Briton also enjoyed considerable success at youth level, claiming multiple national and international titles before establishing himself among the elite.
Mika Meijer (KNMV – The Netherlands)
Representing the host nation, Meijer brings extensive experience in both Long Track and Grass Track racing. He was part of the Dutch team that won the 2023 FIM World Long Track Team Championship and secured silver in the 2025 FIM Long Track of Nations. A regular finalist at European level, he will undoubtedly be one of the home favourites.
Noah Urda (FFM – France)
Urda earns the third wildcard position as one of the emerging names in French Track Racing. Active across Grass Track, Long Track and Speedway, he has already gained valuable international experience through European and FIM youth competitions. Aduard will provide another important opportunity in his sporting development.
The FIM Europe Individual Grass Track Final brings together many of the continent’s leading specialists to compete for one of the discipline’s most prestigious titles. With a strong field featuring established champions, local favourites and rising talents, the 2026 edition promises close racing and spectacular action.
Hosted in the Netherlands, a country with a rich tradition in both Grass Track and Long Track racing, the event is expected to provide a fitting showcase for European Track Racing.
