The Formula Grasstrack class delivered an outstanding showcase on Saturday 2nd May, featuring its biggest-ever line-up of e-bikes for riders aged 4–7. Since the introduction of the class, participation has continued to grow, and this record turnout highlights just how popular it has become among younger riders eager to get involved in the grasstrack scene.
A key factor behind this surge in interest is the recent decision by the Auto-Cycle Union (ACU) to increase the power limit to 1.8kW. The change has proven to be a smart move, opening the door for more children to take part and enjoy the sport in a competitive yet accessible way.
The line-up featured a strong mix of familiar faces and exciting newcomers, adding to the buzz around the class. Among those making an appearance was Cruz Harris, son of Chris Harris—better known as “Bomber”—a world-class grasstrack and speedway rider. His presence further underlined the growing prestige and bright future of the Formula Grasstrack category.
With numbers continuing to rise and enthusiasm at an all-time high, the class is clearly establishing itself as a vital pathway for the next generation of riders.
