Motocross fans are in for a spectacular day of racing on Sunday 26 April, as the Woodbridge and District Motor Cycle Club hosts its first meeting of the 2026 season at the renowned Blaxhall Circuit.
The event marks Round Two of the 2026 Stebbings Car Superstore and Rackham Auto Body Centre ACU Eastern Motocross Championship and is set to attract a strong crowd. 200 riders will compete across 15 races in both the Expert and Junior classes, promising a full programme of high-intensity action.
Following an exciting opening round at Wakes Colne earlier this month, the championship battle now moves to Blaxhall—one of the region’s most respected and popular circuits.
In the Expert class, British Championship competitor and long-time Woodbridge club member Tom Grimshaw leads the standings with a 15-point advantage. With second-placed Josh Spinks not competing at Blaxhall, the focus shifts to Bayliss Utting in third, just eight points further back, and Max Broadbelt in fourth—widely regarded as a strong contender on this circuit.
Travis Steels, another British Championship rider backed by Talk Access and Lifting, currently sits fifth, followed by Jake Rackham in sixth. Reigning champion Sam Nunn will be aiming to bounce back after a challenging opening round but faces stiff competition from a deep and talented field that includes British Championship riders Liam Bennett, Josh Coleman, Tom Murphy and last year’s Junior Champion, Alfie Geddes-Green.
The Junior category promises plenty of excitement, with an impressive 160 riders competing across four groups. Craig Down leads the standings after Round One, ahead of Jacob Roper and Tyrone Tugwell, while Caden Tomlin and Luke Nolan complete the current top five.
With a full day of bar-to-bar racing in store, spectators can expect a thrilling, family-friendly event packed with energy and entertainment.
Practice begins at 9:00am, with racing getting underway shortly afterwards.
