This year’s International Six Days Enduro will be remembered as one of the most physically tough ones in recent years. Run in harsh conditions of 40-degree heat, relentless rocky tracks and dust hanging in the air in the foothills of the Argentinian Andies,
With the going and conditions unlike we are used to, it was a credit to the Trophy team of Jamie McCanney, Nathan Watson, Jed Etchells and Alex Snow to still make the podium just being pipped by France for second place.
The Junior and Women’s teams both lost riders to the extreme conditions although determined to carry on it was a wise move to withdraw them rather than risk their long-term health.
Congratulations to the riders for their determination and team supporters who worked tirelessly for Team GB.
Special mention for Jenny Hodgkins attending her 50th Six Days, some achievement! which was recognised by the organisers with a special mention at the opening ceremony a great achievement which will take some matching.
