ACU head to the 40th Weston Beach Race
This weekend the ACU will be in attendance at the 40th anniversary of the world famous Weston Beach Race taking place at the North Somerset seaside town.

For 40 years the Beach Race at Weston has been the maddest, baddest and biggest event in the off-road calendar. The main racing takes place over the Saturday and Sunday but there are lots of activities that now go on through the build-up week and on the Friday when all the riders start arriving.

With over 1000 riders competing in a number of classes across the two-day event, there is sure to be plenty to keep the tens of thousands of spectators entertained.

This year a team from the ACU will be on hand throughout the event weekend to answer any questions you may have about the sport and joining the ACU. The team will also be offering support on the Sport 80 platform and doing ACU Gold Sticker Approval for helmets during the weekend.

The ACU is the internationally recognised governing body for motorcycle sport in the British Isles (less Northern Ireland). Formed in 1903, the ACU has a long tradition in the world of motorcycle sport being a founder member of the World Governing Body, the Federation Internationale Motocyclisme (FIM). The ACU has a major role in furthering the interests of motorcycle sport on a global basis and within the UK.

Richard Blyth, ACU Business Development and Media Manager commented, ‘it is important for the ACU to be present at the Weston Beach Race once again for 2023 as it is a massive event which draws a large number of visitors to the event. We will be on hand to offer help and advice to current, past and future members of the ACU’.
