Team GB Continue to Lead on Witter Towbars ISDE Day Three

Team GB put in an incredible ride to hold on to our first place in the Trophy class and second in the Women’s, but slip down into fourth in the Junior class.

Test 1 was a enduro test with some woods, a couple of tough hillclimbs and a huge triple up a hill which was a crowd pleaser! It was good for all riders and some, like Harry Edmondson and Nieve Holmes, got their best results of the day (13th and 10th in class).

Test 2 was a cross test with a lot of stubble and woods with some tight and twisty woods with sketchy tree roots. It was located right next to Lake Naussac which made for a beautiful backdrop. We had a decent test but a few mistakes across the board cost us time.

Test 3 was very long enduro test at over 10 minutes! We did really well as it was technical which suits the British riders and we had some great results. Nathan Watson got his best finish of the day in second, as did Jane Daniels with a second place too!

Test 4 was a sandy stubble test with loose rocks which was great for the Trophy riders who finished 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th (Nathan, Steve, Jamie, Jed). As more riders went through, berms were established and it was prime for the women.

Test 5 was day 1 test 1 in reverse and the stubble field had become very stony after seeing 650 riders through it twice on the two days prior. Rosie Rowett had her best finish of the day in 5th place.

The Trophy team remain in first place which is excellent at the halfway point and will be looking to maintain the momentum and consistency going forward.

The Women also maintain their second place and will be looking to take some time out of Team USA in the following three days.

The Juniors slipped down into fourth place so are keen to improve tomorrow now that they know the tests and move back up to third.
